July 10: On this day in 1962, future goaltender Mark LaForest was born in Welland, Ontario. In his only season with the Leafs, 1989-90, LaForest played in 27 games and posted a record of 9-14-0. His 3.89 goals-against-average was the lowest of the four Leaf goalies who played for the Leafs that season when the team allowed 83 more goals than they scored.
