November 17: On this day in 1926, the Chicago Black Hawks won their first ever game in the NHL, a 4-1 victory over the Toronto St. Patricks. George Hay scored the first goal in Chicago franchise history. Hay was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1958.

November 17: On this day in 1990, the Leafs acquired Lucien Deblois along with Aaron Broten and Michel Petit from the Quebec Nordiques in exchange for Scott Pearson and two 2nd round draft choices. None of the three Leafs acquired in the trade lasted in Toronto beyond the 1991-92 season.
