December 6: On this day in 1947, the Leafs pounded the Chicago Black Hawks 12-5. It marked the third time in three years that the Leafs bagged a dozen goals in one game. Two future Hall-of-Famers, Harry Watson and Max Bentley scored their first hat tricks as Leafs in the game. The Leafs would finish in first place overall in 1947-48 and go on to win their second of three consecutive Stanley Cups.
