August 8: On this day in 1997, goaltender Glenn Healy signed as a free agent with the Maple Leafs. As a backup to Felix Potvin and then Curtis Joseph, Healy compiled a record of 23-30-5 with the Leafs over four seasons. Before coming to Toronto, Healy got his name engraved on the Stanley Cup with the 1994 Rangers.
