On This Day May 21st.

May 21: On this in 1956, the Leafs dealt Eric Nesterenko and their all-time single-season shutout leader, Harry Lumley to Chicago for $40,000 cash. It was a curious deal. Nesterenko went on to enjoy more than 15 seasons as a Black Hawk. He finished his long NHL career with 250 goals, but just 43 of them as a Leaf. Harry Lumley finished his Hall of Fame career with the Boston Bruins in 1960.
