August 13: On this day in 1961, Mark Osborne was born in Toronto, Ontario. Osborne was first acquired by the Leafs in a trade with the N.Y. Rangers near the trade deadline in 1987. He put up a couple of 20-goal seasons but was traded to Winnipeg in 1990, only to be re-acquired a year later. In his second stint with the Leafs, Osborne became an effective checker helping the Leafs reach the Conference Finals in two consecutive years. In all, he scored 94 goals as a Leaf in 426 games.
