July 22: On this day in 2005, NHL owners and players ratified a new Collective Bargaining Agreement ending a lockout and labor dispute that lasted 310 days and wiped out the entire 2004-05 season. It marked the first time in 88 years of rich hockey history that an NHL team in Toronto was not competing for the Stanley Cup.
