March 8: On this day in 1977, Tracy Pratt was traded to the Maple Leafs from the Colorado Rockies for a 3rd round draft choice. The trade happened to occur on Tracy Pratt's 34th birthday. Tracy was the son of former Leaf and Hall-of-Famer, Babe Pratt. Tracy Pratt wound down his NHL career as a Leaf, playing in 11 games and recording just one assist.
March 8: On this day in 1981, Leafs captain Darryl Sittler picked up two assists in a 7-3 loss at Washington to become the Toronto Maple Leafs' all-time leading scorer, breaking Dave Keon's team record of 858 career points. Sittler finished his days as a Leaf with 916 points and held the Toronto franchise's scoring record until he was surpassed by Mats Sundin in October of 2007.
