July 19: On this day in 1962, Craig Muni was born in Toronto, Ontario. Muni was the Leafs 1st choice, 25th overall in the 1980 Entry Draft. He only played 19 games with the big team between 1981 and 1986 and failed to score a goal. Muni got his big break in the summer of 1986 when he was signed as a free agent by the high powered Edmonton Oilers and went on to win 3 Stanley Cups in 7 seasons. In his first year in Edmonton, Muni earned a full time spot on the blueline and chipped in 7 goals and 22 assists.
