May 1: On this day in 1946, the Leafs signed center Harry Taylor as a free agent. Taylor played 51 games in a Leafs uniform over two seasons and registered 13 points. He suited up for one game during the 1949 playoffs and qualified to get his name engraved on the Stanley Cup.

It ranks as one of the biggest and most exciting goals in Toronto Maple Leafs history.
