June 23: On this day in 2001, the Leafs traded Sergei Berezin to Phoenix in exchange for Mikael Renberg, the former right-winger on the Flyers' famous "Legion of Doom" line. Over three seasons with the Leafs, Renberg's output declined from 52 to 35 to 25 total points. More disappointingly, in the 3 successive playoff years between 2002 and 2004, Renberg managed just one point, a goal in 12 games. After 2004, he returned to play in Sweden.
