August 15: On this day in 1935, future Leaf goaltender Marv Edwards was born in St. Catherines, Ontario. Edwards played 25 games for the Leafs during the 1969-70 season and compiled a winning record of 10-9-4. Unfortunately the Leafs finished last in the East Division and out of the playoffs that season and Edwards never played another game for the Leafs.

August 15: On this day in 1961, Gary Yaremchuk was born in Edmonton, Alberta. The older of the two Yaremchuk boys to play for the Leafs during the 1980's, Gary was a 2nd round draft choice of the Leafs, 24th overall in 1981. His pro hockey was spent mostly as a minor league center but he did play 34 games for the Leafs between 1981 and 1985, recording 1 goal and 4 assists.
