June 4: On this day in 1966, Nick Kypreos was born in Toronto, Ontario. "Kipper" became a Leaf after helping the New York Rangers win a Stanley Cup in 1994. Kypreos suffered a career ending concussion during a fight with New York Ranger Ryan Vandenbussche in an exhibition game in September of 1997. He later became a TV hockey analyst.
June 4: on this day in 1970, former Leaf defenseman Per Gustafsson was born in Osterham, Sweden. Gustafsson's NHL career was brief and included only 22 games with the Leafs during the 1997-98 season.
