September 25: On this day in 1958, center Dave Creighton was claimed by Toronto from Montreal on waivers. It was his second stint with the Leafs and the last stop on his NHL journey of the 1950's. Creighton came to Toronto with three 20-goal seasons under his belt with the Rangers and the Bruins, but the best he could do with the Leafs was 3 goals in 1958-59. In all, Creighton had 21 points in 62 games for the Leafs, spread out over 3 seasons.
September 25: On this day in 1970, Frank "The Animal" Bialowas was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Bialowas played 3 games for the Leafs during the 1993-94 season when he came up from the minors with a reputation as being one of the most feared enforcers in AHL history. The Animal did not disappoint. He failed to record a point but did drop the gloves twice, including a tilt with future Leaf tough guy Tie Domi.
