September 19: On this day in 1936, Milan Marcetta was born in Cadomin, Alberta. Marcetta made his NHL debut with the Leafs during the 1967 playoffs when he played his only 3 games with Toronto. Although he was kept off the scoresheet, those three games were sufficient to earn his name an engraving on the Stanley Cup.
September 19: On this day in 1979, goaltender Mikael Tellqvist was born in Sundbyberg, Sweden. Tellqvist played in 40 regular season games for the Leafs over 4 seasons up until 2006 when he was traded to Phoenix. His final record as a Leaf was 16-16-2.
September 19: On this day in 1991, Leaf General Manager "Trader Cliff" Fletcher pulled off his first major deal with the Edmonton Oilers trading Vincent Damphousse, Luke Richardson, Scott Thornton and Peter Ing to the Oilers in exchange for a wealth of Stanley Cup experience in goalie Grant Fuhr and Glenn Anderson as well as left-winger Craig Berube. As of 2007, Luke Richardson, a former Leaf first round draft choice in 1987, was the last man standing.
